These days we talk a lot about healthy children. People who care (parents, doctors, teachers, and others) want to know how to help their children stay fit. Being fit means that a person eats healthy food, does a lot of exercises and has a healthy weight. When you are internally fit and healthy, your body works well, feels good and can do whatever you want, such as walking with your friends. If you really want to be a healthy and fit kid, you can also select Kids Fitness Classes. These classes will guide you on what type of food is best for you. Here are some rules to follow if you are a child who wants to be fit and healthy. The trick is usually to follow these rules and you will become a healthy and fit kid. Eat a Variety of Food:
You can have a favourite food, but the best option is to eat a wide variety. If you eat different types of food, you will probably get the nutrients that your body needs. Try new and old food that you have not yet tasted. Some foods, like green vegetables, taste better as you grow older. Shoot at least five servings of fruit and vegetables a day - two fruits and three vegetables. Drink Water and Milk: If you are thirsty, cold water is the best thirst quencher. There is a reason why your school cafeteria offers milk cartons. Children need calcium to strengthen their bones, and milk is an excellent source of this mineral. If you are between 4 and 8 years old, you drink 2 cups of milk a day or something similar. If you are 9 years or older, you should target 3 cups of milk a day or the equivalent. You can mix it with other calcium-rich dairy products. Limit the Screen Time: What is the clock on the screen? This is the time you spend watching TV or watching DVDs, playing video games (console systems or handheld games) and using a smartphone, tablet or computer. The more time you spend on these activities, the less time you have for active activities such as basketball, cycling and swimming. Do not try to spend more than 2 hours a day on the screen without considering using the computer in training activities. Be Active: Everyone doesn't like baseball or football. Ask your parents to help you do your favourite things regularly. Find ways to be active every day. You can even write a list of interesting tasks so you can use them when your mom or dad tells you it's time to stop watching TV or playing computer games!
